How to install Nyusu on your phone

Mobile applications, or apps, allow you to carry your world in your pocket. Literally. Be it your bank, your shop or your news supplier, it’s available to you 24x7 at the click of a button. That’s precisely why many people call the smartphone boom one of the biggest revolutions in technology.

Installing a mobile app like Nyusu is fairly simple. If your phone runs on Android—many of the well-known brands including Samsung, One+, HTC, Lenovo, Micromax, Karbonn, and Gionee run on various versions of the Android operating system—then installing the Nyusu app is a breeze. Just go to the Google Play Store app that comes pre-installed on all Android devices, and at the top of the screen, where there’s the search bar, enter the word Nyusu and press enter or go.

Google Play Store will immediately show you the Nyusu app. Just clck on it, and press install. Nyusu is less than 5 mb in size, which means the app will load in a few seconds. Once you have downloaded the app, it will ask for permission to interact with your device. Give the required permission. By the way, make sure your data is on even before you try going go the Google Play Store.

Once installed, Nyusu will ask you to select the language of your choice. The options given will include six languages: Hindi, English, Kannada, Malayalam, Tamil and Telugu. You can select one or multiple languages, although most users would probably not select more than three languages at the most. Following your language selection, Nyusu will start populating your feed with the latest news videos. You can browse these videos by news category as well. That is, you can watch all political videos under Politics, videos related to crime will come under Crime, and anything to do with movies or music will show under Entertainment.

So, what are you waiting for? Download Nyusu today. Happy viewing!

Nyusu: The Best News App for Video-loving Smartphone Users

Joseph Pultizer, the legendary American media baron, said famously once: ““Our Republic and its press will rise or fall together.  An able, disinterested, public-spirited press, with trained intelligence to know the right and courage to do it, can preserve that public virtue without which popular government is a sham and a mockery. A cynical, mercenary, demagogic press will produce in time a people as base as itself.” What Pulitzer wrote back then, is perhaps even truer today in these turbulent times of India, when media ownership has passed into the hands of political parties and large business houses with their own agendas.
At Nyusu, which is India's first one-minute, multi-lingual, video news with views app, we take Pulitzer’s words rather seriously. Therefore, our vision is fairly simple: We want to bridge the gap that exists in vernacular media. We want to do so by offering you the best news app possible by focusing on a) factual video news stories that will democratise information by making them accessible to the illiterate or semi-literate in India, b) in a language that he/she is most comfortable speaking, thinking and debating in, c) issues that are most relevant to their lives and not just to the lives of urban and elite Indians, d) editorial opinion that is unbiased and fearless, e) enterprise stories that highlight important issues facing Indian people, f) citizen journalism that allows the common man to take an active part in media, and, most importantly, by focusing on a format that is easy to consume (videos less than a minute long for new; but longer—up to 5 mins—for Specials and Opinions) and a device that is now ubiquitous: the smartphone.

Does that makes us the best news app for Android and iPhone? We certainly hope so. Nyusu is free to download from Google Play store and Apple app store. So, download the news app and start enjoying, crisp, one-minute video news in English, Hindi, Kannada, Malayalam, Tamil and Telugu. Nyusu will give you the option of selecting one or multiple languages depending on your choice. Once you have downloaded the Android or iOS news app of Nyusu, you can watch video news in different categories: politics, crime, entertainment, sports, world, and even offbeat. Your daily hunt for news will never be boring again. Why read when you can watch and listen? That is the promise of India’s newest and best news app for Android and iPhone users.
